Ganesh and
Lakshmi are worshipped in almost every Hindu household and workplaces to bring
success and prosperity. Ganesh is considered the god of wisdom and Lakshmi is
considered the goddess of wealth. They are worshiped together to get wisdom
along with wealth, without wisdom wealth can’t stay longer with us. Having
wealth is good only when we have the knowledge of using it properly.
Lakshmi sitting on a kamalasana is the best posture to bring stability
and growth to your wealth. According to Hindu beliefs and traditions, their
relative seating positions and postures in pooja ghar is of great importance.
Pooja means complete devotion. Lakshmi being the mother of Ganesha should
always be seated to the right of Ganesha, as the left place is meant for the
wife. Any mistake in this matter is believed to bring bad omen. Finally what is
more important is the devotion and love towards God, without any selfish
intent.
